New short film for young people about Ilulissat Icefjord

Today Ilulissat Icefjord Office unveiled a new action-packed short film about the UNESCO World Heritage area Ilulissat Ice Fjord. Most people starred in the film are young people from the town of Ilulissat - which includes a guy breakdancing in the snow, a couple snowboarding and a snow bathing in 33-degrees of cold.

The film, which is targeting Greenlandic children and youngsters, has been produced to show that Ilulissat is not only a tourist attraction. It also is a place that is used and valued by the local youth who can be proud to live in a country with a unique natural area, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The approximately two-minute action-packed movie is recorded by professional photographer David Trood, which has also been behind several of Visit Greenlands marketing films. The film is produced by and for Ilulissat Icefjord Office.

The film about Ilulissat Icefjord is funded by Branding Greenland and Qaasuitsup Municipality. The music for the film is composed and recorded by musician Michael Rosing from Nuuk.

It can be seen on KNR (National Greenlandic TV), I love Greenland's Facebook page and www.kangia.gl which is the website of Ilulissat Icefjord. In addition, the film will be shown in 'Biffen' in Ilulissat until May.
